Hi Friend,

I am so glad you’re here! If I had it my way we would be sitting in deep, comfy chairs, sipping something yummy from mugs that look more like bowls than cups. I would have a large latte with almond milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. You can have whatever you like. I never quite mastered small talk so we would probably skip that part.

But since we can’t meet face to face (yet), I’ll start, and hope that someday I will have the privilege of getting to know you and hearing your story too.
I live in a small town in Connecticut that’s half college-town, half beach-town with my husband, Jimmy. I’m an old soul and wear my heart on my sleeve. I like tough questions and deep, honest answers.

My story? Like He does for all of us, God’s been moving in it and molding me through it. Recently, he’s used a move across the country, deep loss, and some other challenges to pry idols and entitlements from my grasp and help me find my identity in Him again. Slowly and surely, He is teaching me that I am worthy outside of my performance, that I am valued with or without the affirmations of others, and loved for who I am, not what I do or what my life looks like. And I want to use my life and my little corner of the Internet to talk about just that.

I hope to write honestly and vulnerably about my own joys and struggles around topics that are close to all of us in a way that communicates the truth about who we are and what gives us value.

C.S. Lewis made many wise statements, but one of my favorites is, “we read to know we are not alone.” My honest prayer is that we would gather around these conversations and know that we are not alone – that together, we would discover the truth of God’s arresting grace and His unbound adoration for us and feel emboldened to move in the direction He is calling.

Thanks for stopping by!
